Hair RemovalImagine not having to shave, tweeze, wax or endure the tedious process of electrolysis again. Using new technology such as Intense Pulsed Light, Laser or Elos systems, unwanted hair can be gently removed with a flash of light. Any part of the body can be treated - from head to toe and everything in between. Color of skin need not be a problem any more. Excessive body hair or hirsutism may be related to several factors.
Hirsutism, although not life threatening, can have a psychological impact on men and women of any age. In the past, treatments included shaving, waxing, electrolysis, depilatory creams, and tweezing. At the Center, treatments are done with state-of the art Intense Pulsed Light , Lasers or Elos-based systems which have both IPL and radiofrequency. The light travels through the skin, affecting the hair bulb. After several treatments, the hair will fall out. Although some regrowth may be noted, it will be significantly less than when started. The Hair Removal Systems used are a non-invasive light therapy devices specifically designed to eliminate undesired hair from all parts of the body, including the face, back, legs, bikini line or just about anywhere. Different areas such as eyebrows, ears, nose and foreheads can be treated. Darker skin individuals including African-Americans can also be treated using techniques developed at our center. Using IPL technology not only is hair removed but rejuvenation of the skin is obtained.
